H&M Collaborates with ERDEM
H&M’s collaborations with some of the biggest names in fashion such as Karl Lagerfeld (2004) Stella McCartney (2005), Viktor & Rolf (2006), Roberto Cavalli (2007), Comme de Garcons (2008), Lanvin (2010), Versace (2011, 2012), Marni & Maison Martin Margiela (2012), Alexander Wang (2014) and most recently Balmain (2015) and Kenzo (2016) took the fashion retail industry by storm. Most of the collections would sell out in within the day some within hours of its release.
H&M recently announced that ERDEM is the exclusive designer collaboration for this year. The Canadian born, London based designer Erdem Moralioglu whose creations have been worn by Nicole Kidman and Kate Middleton Windsor the Duchess of Cambridge will be reinterpreting the design themes from some of his most celebrated collections by playing with prints, textiles and impeccable craftsmanship. To make this collaboration even more exciting H&M also worked with award-winning filmmaker Baz Luhrmann in bringing the collection to life through his unique storytelling. One of the best news about this collaboration is that ERDEM will be creating a menswear collection, which he has never done before.
